WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY 2026
The event highlighted the importance of prevention, early intervention, and collective action in reducing tobacco use. Participants actively engaged in awareness sessions and took a pledge to refrain from using tobacco products and to motivate others to adopt a healthy, tobacco-free life. The programme reflected the institution's commitment to promoting public health and social well-being.

On this occasion of World No Tobacco Day 2026, We solemnly pledge that:
“ I shall never smoke & consume any type of tobacco product in my life and shall motivate my family or acquaintances not to smoke / use any tobacco products. I shall motivate my colleagues for the same also. ”
“ विश्व तंबाकू निषेध दिवस 2026 के अवसर पर, मैं प्रतिज्ञा लेता/लेती हूँ कि मैं अपने जीवन में कभी भी धूम्रपान नहीं करूँगा/करूँगी और किसी भी प्रकार के तंबाकू उत्पाद का सेवन नहीं करूँगा/करूँगी, और अपने परिवार और परिचितों को भी धूम्रपान/तंबाकू उत्पादों का सेवन न करने के लिए प्रेरित करूँगा/करूँगी। मैं अपने सहकर्मियों को भी इसके लिए प्रेरित करूँगा/करूँगी। ”
Say No to Tobacco – Say Yes to Life
Faculty members, students, and staff participated in the awareness programme and took a collective pledge to abstain from tobacco use and encourage others to do the same. The event emphasized the theme "Unmask the Appeal – Break the Habit", highlighting the need to expose the harmful effects of tobacco and promote healthier lifestyle choices.
WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 2026
On the occasion of World Environment Day 2026, students of Sudha Saseendran Siddha Medical College and Hospital actively participated in a tree plantation programme within the campus. The initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness, enhance green cover, and inspire sustainable practices. The event reflected the institution's commitment to environmental protection and a greener future.
The programme aimed to create awareness about the need to protect natural resources, increase green cover, and encourage eco-friendly practices among students and the community. Faculty members guided the participants on the significance of planting trees in combating climate change, improving air quality, and preserving biodiversity.
Environmental protection begins with individual action. By planting trees, conserving water, reducing waste, and adopting sustainable lifestyles, we can collectively make a significant impact on our planet's future.
